Won the Danish Championship with Herning in the 2004-2005 season recording an amazing 46 points in 36 regular season games and 13 points in 16 playoff games….Was drafted by Ottawa in 2004 (87th overall, 3rd round pick)….Moved to Timrå Red Eagles in Sweden for the 2005-2006 season debuting in the Swedish Elitserie where he quickly became a regular player in Timrås line-up….In Timrå he played with fellow Dane Frans Nielsen….Was named Rookie of the Year in 2004 and Player of the Year in 2005 in Denmark….Was captain of the Danish U18 team during the Top Division World Championship in Belarus, 2004, scoring 9 points (5+4) in 6 games….Considered one of the key players during Timrås playoff run in 2007-2008 and was one of the highest scoring Elitserie-players in the quarterfinals of the Swedish playoffs…. During the 2007-2008 season he was often compared to Swedish NHL-superstar, Henrik Zetterberg….Debuted in the Top Division for the senior national team in 2005….In 2007 he recorded 6 points (3+3) and was named as one of the top 3 players for Denmark…scored 3 points in 6 games at the World Championship in Quebec, Canada, 2008…Made his NHLdebut January 20th, 2009, when he was called up to the Ottawa Senators for a game against Washington Capitals…nine days later he scored his first NHL goal against St. Louis Blues…also a dominant force for Binghamton Senators (AHL) in 2008/2009 where he was constantly among the most scoring players for the club and received the award as the Top Defensive Forward…Had his NHL breakthrough in the 2009/2010 playing 75 regular season games for Ottawa.Scored 29 points (13+16) with a plus/minus of +10.Averaged 12 minutes and 53 seconds on the ice in the regular…Despite Ottawa’s 2-4 loss to Pittsburgh in the conference quarterfinals, the playoffs was a success for Regin…He was voted Ottawa’s playoff’s MVP by the users of senators.nhl.com.Tallied 4 points (3+1) in the six games and averaged over 18 minutes of ice time…Became the first non-Finnish Captain for KHL team Jokerit Helsinki in 2016 after a great debut season with the team where he showed his leadership on and off the ice…With incredibly skill and a keen eye for the game Peter is a prized addition to the 2016/2017 Team Denmark roster in Cologne – the exact spot where he dazzled during Denmarks first World Championship Quarter Final tournament in 2010.
