Moved to Sweden and Linköping in a young age to play in the Swedish junior system…Is the younger brother of Oliver Lauridsen who – like Markus – plays his first World Championship in Sweden…Is a technically skilled, sometimes offensive-minded defenceman…Played to season as a dominant player in the United States Hockey League at Green Bay Gamblers…Won the USHL trophy, Clark Cup, with the Gamblers in 2011-12…Markus and brother Oliver both debuted at the 2012/2013 IIHF World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden and both left a huge impression…Markus is a pure fighter with great skating skills and he uses his strength and size to keep opponents from real scoring chances…Has played 136 AHL-games during his career and is now ready for his 4th World Championship appearance for Team Denmark…Played a solid season for AIK Stockholm (Allsvenskan) and is now ready for a new adventure in Leksand (SHL)…Becoming a steady go-to guy for Danish Head Coach Janne Karlsson and is daring and confident in his play with the puck backed by strong skating skills.
