Originates from Rungsted IK (later Rungsted Cobras, Nordsjælland Cobras and Rungsted Ishockey) where he recorded 42 points (20+22) in the 1998-1999 season and then transferred to Leksand….Was regarded as one of the biggest talents ever to be seen in Danish junior hockey where he dominated in his junior years….Played 40 Elitserie games in his first season with Leksand before moving south to Troja-Ljungby where he played two seasons in Allsvenskan….Returned to the Elitserie where he played four seasons for Modo Hockey….Scored 20 points in 50 regular season games in 2005-06….Is regarded as one of Team Denmarks most gifted players wh en it comes to technique ….His favorite memory from ice hockey is when the Danish national team was promoted to the Top Division in 2002….Returned to Leksand, where he played three seasons. He was the top scorer in 2006-2007 tallying 56 points in 53 Allsvenskan and Qualification series games….Had his best World Championship in Riga 2006 scoring 6 points in 6 games for Team Denmark…Tied that record in 2008 in Quebec, Canada also recording 6 points…A dominating player for Malmö Redhawks 2009-10 often playing with his Danish teammates Staal and Hardt.Regarded as one of the best players in the Allsvenskan in 2010-11 as well. Was Malmö Redhawks’ leading scorer with 46 points in 50 games, but Malmö did not reach the qualification to the Elitserien…had 23 points (11+12) in 52 regular season games in the 2011-12-season adding 2 points (0+2) in six qualification games… Became captain of Team Denmark at the 2011 World Championship in Slovakia following the retirement of former captain Jesper Damgaard. Played five games tallying 2 points (0+2) averaging 20.49 minutes of ice time. Will play his 18th consecutive World Championship at the senior level in 2013 – his 13th in the Top Division….”Captain Denmark” has a huge heart and he always takes leadership on an off the ice as well as on the Power Play..Played three full seasons in the DEL for Hannover and Schwenningen…was assistant captain for Schwenningen last season (2+12), and is the Danish NT player with most games, points and assists at the WC top level. Delivered 1 goal and 2 assists during Minsk 2014…Has played a magnificent 309 games for Team Denmark entering the 2016/2017 IIHF World Cahmpionship, setting a new record every time he plays…Has announced his retirement from Team Denmark after the 2016/2017 season and leaves a huge void on powerplays, as Captain and in the locker room.
